Our community

PublishingPageContent

We value the partnership we have with our parents and carers and the partnership with the wider community.

Positive Behaviour for Learning is an evidence-based whole school process to improve learning outcomes for all students. Augusta State School promotes a positive school environment, where all students are included and feel safe and supported and this, we believe, improves student learning outcomes.

The Positive Behaviour for Learning approach:
·         addresses the diverse academic and social needs of every student
·         enables schools to establish a continuum of supports that meet the needs of every student
·         is team driven, using a problem solving approach (data, systems and practices) that engages students, parents and all school staff
·         establishes positive expectations for all in the school community
·         provides a framework for the school and its community to collectively support the wellbeing of every student.
Every member of the school community (school staff, parents and students) has a role to play in creating a safe and supportive school environment, where students can learn and achieve.
